Getting
Involved
Relay For Life is all
about teams – we can’t make cancer history without you, your neighbours,
your colleagues and your loved ones. Gather your team of 10 people to take
turns walking, running or strolling around the track and help make cancer
history. 
Who Takes Part?
Relay For Life is not a event for athletes but a community event for
everyone. Relay teams consist of people of all ages and all levels of
fitness. Teams can be formed between families, friends, business
associates, schools, neighbours, churches, clubs, social groups – the list
goes on!
Children are very welcome to attend. We will have special children’s
activities in addition to the existing entertainment.
What Team Captains Do
Each team should appoint a Team Captain. This is the primary contact
person for the team. They will receive all correspondence and attend Team
Captain meetings. Team Captains organise meetings and have regular contact
with their team members during the lead up to the event. They pass on
critical information, see how the team is progressing with fundraising and
prepare them for the day of the Relay.
 Start your own team
Register as a Team Captain and invite your friends and family,
co-workers or neighbours to join your team. Click here to register on-line

Join an existing team
If someone you know has already signed up as a team captain, you can
join his or her team. Contact us and we can link you up with another team.
If not, consider starting your own team.
Get you school involved
Your school and all the school kids can be a big part of our event. If
you’re not in a team see if your school can build your own Relay paper
chain, or make some great signs for our event.
Volunteer
There are lots of things we need people to help out with at the event,
from team registration and merchandise sales to parking management and
more. Contact us to see how you be a great help for everyone. |
